Ardiyansyah Syahrom, was born on the 27th of February 1978. He is specialized in Biomechanics, Biomaterial and Sport Engineering. His main field in undergraduate and graduate studies was in Mechanical Engineering at the Universitas Bung Hatta and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He obtained his B.S. and M.Eng. Degrees in 2000 and 2007, repectively. Then, he continued his postgraduate (Ph.D) studies in Biomechanics at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and received his Ph.D. degree in 2011. Right after that, he was appointed as visiting lecturer and researcher for one year in UTM started from January 2011 to January 2012. In February 2012, he got an offer to joint with the Department of Solid Mechanics and Design, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Currently, he is a Senior Lecturer at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Director at Sport Innovation and Technology Center (SITC). He has supervised quite few postgraduate students for Ph.D. and M.Eng. Degrees in Biomechanics and Biomaterial, with specific topic related to Cancellous bone structures, Biodegradable metal and Sport engineering.
