Cross Straits Symposium
Cross Straits Symposium (CSS) / Fall Seminar
The Cross Straits Symposium (CSS) or Fall Seminar is an academic-focused program held during the fall season at the postgraduate level. Unlike cultural seminars, CSS is centered around academic and research-oriented topics, providing a platform for students and faculty from Kyushu University (Japan), Pusan National University (South Korea), Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China), and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (Malaysia) to collaborate on research projects and discuss cutting-edge developments in various fields. The seminar is hosted in person on a rotating basis by each of the four partner universities, offering participants the opportunity to experience different academic environments.
