WELCOME ONBOARD!
Message from the Dean, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia:
Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) is honoured to be an integral partner in the CAMPUS Asia Plus EEST Program, a collaborative initiative committed to cultivating global talent in the fields of Energy-Environment Science and Technology (EEST). Alongside our esteemed partner universities, Kyushu University (Japan), Pusan National University (Korea), and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China), we are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of researchers and engineers, particularly at the postgraduate level, who will play vital roles in addressing the world’s most pressing challenges.
Launched in 2011, the CAMPUS Asia Program initially focused on innovative double-degree opportunities under Mode 1 and Mode 2, fostering academic collaboration among Kyushu University, Pusan National University, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. UTM’s involvement under Mode 3, starting in 2021, has further enriched the program, offering new perspectives and deepening our academic and cultural exchanges. The EEST Program is designed to empower students, especially postgraduate students, with advanced knowledge, pioneering research skills, and the vision to drive future solutions in energy and environmental sustainability. It also serves as a valuable platform for students to gain insight into diverse cultures and societies.
Through this initiative, I am confident that all students and faculty, including those in postgraduate research, will have access to unparalleled opportunities for engaging in cutting-edge research, interdisciplinary learning, and meaningful cross-cultural interactions. These experiences will equip them to emerge as global leaders in the pursuit of sustainable energy and environmental solutions.
I extend my sincere gratitude to our partner universities for their unwavering commitment to this shared vision. Together, we will continue to strengthen international collaborations, elevate academic excellence, and inspire groundbreaking innovations for a sustainable future.
Warm regards,
