UTM Hosts Business Lunch on Sustainable Combustion for Cleaner Energy in Malaysia<\/span><\/p>\n

The Sustainable Combustion Showcase, hosted by UTM’s SERF Research Group, took place on 20th June 2024 in UTM Kuala Lumpur. The showcase, attended by key industrial players in the energy sector such as Tenaga National Berhad (TNB) Genco, Malakoff, Petronas, and Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM), highlighted the challenges and financial implications of adopting sustainable combustion technologies and emphasized the need for collaborative efforts between the academia, the industry, and the government counterpart. Key takeaways included the importance of research and development to reduce the cost of clean fuels, the potential of biomass and hydrogen as alternatives, and the necessity of a balanced energy mix to achieve net-zero carbon\u00a0emissions.<\/span><\/div>\n
