Dr. UDAY M. Basheer Al-Naib is Senior Lecturer at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He completed a post-doctoral on material engineering at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) between 2013 and 2014. He received his PhD in Materials Engineering (composite) from USM in 2013. He was a chartered engineer (CEng.) with the Engineering Council UK. He also has professional membership at The Welding Institute (TWI), UK and is a Fellow Member (F.I.M.M.) at Institute of Materials, Malaysia (IMM). He obtained his master’s and bachelor’s degree on chemical engineering field from the University of Baghdad and University of Technology IRAQ, respectively. He has over 30 years of academic and practical experience in the fields of ceramic and metal composites, metal alloys, advanced ceramics, porous ceramic, ceramic-metal joining, materials engineering characterizations and forming, ceramic insulators, ceramic membranes, thermoelectric energy conversion and ceramic coating, glass, ceramic glaze, enamel of metals, conductive glass, thermal coating, high hardness ceramic, ceramic Insulators fibres, high temperature materials anti-corrosion, ceramic anti-chemical corrosion, grinding wheels, wear and friction, graphite and silicon carbide forms. He is the editor of the book’s series at IntechOpen Publisher. As well as he is a recognized reviewer at Elsevier Publisher.
