UTM and TUL Forge New International Partnership
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) exchange between Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and the Technical University of Liberec (TUL), Czech Republic, was successfully held on August 13, 2024, at the Royale Chulan Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. Representing UTM was Vice-Chancellor Professor Datuk Ir. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Fauzi bin Ismail, while Assoc. Prof. Jaromir Moravec, Dean of the Faculty, represented TUL. The event was also attended by a representative from the Czech Embassy in Malaysia.
This partnership reflects a strong commitment from both universities to promote international collaboration. The agreement aims to enhance cooperation in areas such as academic exchanges, collaborative research, and other joint initiatives that contribute to the advancement of knowledge and innovation.
The MoU exchange ceremony coincided with the opening of the 4th South East Asia – Japan Conference on Composite Materials (SEAJCCM 2024), held from August 13 to 14, 2024, at the same venue. The conference, officiated by Professor Datuk Ir. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Fauzi bin Ismail, brought together leading experts, researchers, and scholars from Southeast Asia and Japan to share insights and advancements in composite materials.
This event marks a significant step in fostering academic excellence and global partnerships between UTM and TUL, strengthening their roles as leaders in research and innovation.
