On 21 June 2025, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FKM), in collaboration with Wentel Engineering Sdn. Bhd., successfully organised a Sustainability Programme focused on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) values.
The programme featured various engaging activities, including Senaman Lestari (morning exercise with traditional music), a Treasure Hunt Lestari, tree planting, and an insightful ESG talk delivered by Wentel Engineering. The event was officiated by the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Zaini bin Ahmad, and active participation from faculty management, staff of Wentel Engineering lead by Ms. Tan (Human Resource Manager) and Ms. Jocelyn (Corporate Division Manager), as well as students and staff from FKM and UTM.
Wentel Engineering, a leading company in sheet metal and structural fabrication, is well known for its strong commitment to ESG practices. Likewise, FKM remains active in promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and raising awareness on environmental responsibility. The faculty extends its heartfelt appreciation to Wentel Engineering for their invaluable collaboration and generous sponsorship. Their support was instrumental in the success of the program and in strengthening university-industry engagement on sustainability.
Through this meaningful collaboration, we hope to inspire greater participation in sustainability efforts and contribute toward creating a greener, better world. We are the Green Champions
